Life is too short to not create things.
When was the last time you worked on the creative projects you LOVE?
Are your craft and journaling supplies looking forlorn?
Do you feel like you need permission to create?
Then here’s your permission slip to spend 20 minutes a day for the next 30 days to make-make-make!
The 2030make challenge was created by me, a mom of one precocious kiddo, who found I had less and less time to work on my own creative projects. (Admittedly, I was jealous of my munchkin happily doodling in her sketchbook while I folded laundry. Hmm . . .)
I wondered if I could take JUST 20 minutes a day for a whole month to work on all of those feisty little projects that had lined up over the years . . . if maybe I could make a dent in them.
This was coming from someone who used to come home after work in her single days and whip out a scarf, three felt cats, and an embroidery before bed. I kid you not.
Anyway . . . I took on the challenge and . . .
Lo and behold! I actually COMPLETED MY PROJECTS.
As in, baby book DONE. Cute yarn knit into a scarf. Art journal pages filled with happiness.
Do you relate?
- You want to make things but the days seem too short.
- When you do have time, you usually procrastinate and end up doing a load of laundry (or something like that.)
- You wait until the end of the day to work on your projects and then find you’re too tired.
You’re a creative person who has a lot of ideas of projects you want to make, skills you want to learn, and techniques you want to try.
But you don’t have the time. I hear you.
After completing 2030make myself, I decided to share the love with other creatives and THOUSANDS of women have joined me since.
In the span of 30 days we have . . .
Stitched up cute gifts
Written tons of letters
Knit scarves galore . . .
And basically, jumped straight back into our creative grooves.
My favorite part? For this 30 day creative challenge, ANY creative project is welcome. Knitters, painters, journalistas, sewists, DIYers, crafters . . . the only requirement is you have creative projects that you’re dying to finish!
A challenge is fun but it’s even better if you get printable worksheets, right?
You will receive:
- A printable workbook where you can brainstorm your goals, write out your reward, mark off each day on a calendar, and color in a piece of the sun after each day’s creating time.
- Four weeks of simple lessons to encourage you to keep going.
- Eleven recorded Facebook Live sessions from the live version of our challenge!
The #2030make challenge was exactly what I needed to get started on writing my eBook, DIY Block Design. It helped me take that first, scary step, and before I long, I found myself spending a lot longer than 20 minutes as I got hooked on the process! Purposely dedicating just 20 minutes per day is an achievable goal, and will help anyone beat the “I don’t have time” blues. (Alyce)
What I love most about this challenge is it’s all about grace. Your age, skill level, and income don’t matter.
All you have to do is set aside 20 minutes each day for the next month to work on your creative projects, whatever they may be.
When you sign up, you’ll receive a printable workbook you can use to get inspired and to track your project through the month. You’ll also receive instant access to the entire challenge to help you in your creative process (as well as encouragement to keep going!)
