Hey there, letter-writing friend! The Bring Back Snail Mail Challenge has been combined with all three of my letter writing challenges to make a snail mail lovin’ course! Check it out here!
Remember the olden days when people wrote letters to each other? When we had to wait more than five seconds to receive a response from a friend? I email, text, and tweet on a daily basis but have to admit that I still LOVE receiving real mail (as opposed to flyers and bills. Those don’t count.)
So what’s a snail mail lover to do? Create a snail mail challenge, that’s what! ????
In My Heart, I Love to Write Letters, But I’m So Not Motivated
I hear you. I used to write letters all the time. Even though I still enjoy writing letters (and let’s be honest, I love receiving them too!), I’m not that great at actually doing it. Since I’m a big fan of 30 Day Challenges, I decided to make one for myself.
A few days into the challenge, I realized I needed to create a calendar so I could share it with YOU. I was having too much fun to keep it to myself.
The Bring Back Snail Mail Challenge Includes:
- A 30 Day Calendar printable
- Five prompts (one per week) as well as additional ideas for letter writing.
- A classroom format where all of your printables, videos, and prompts are stored together. No more digging through your email to find the latest prompt!
You’ll be sending out sunshine, having fun, and I promise, you will not be overwhelmed by this challenge. It is very oriented to those with busy schedules. You’ll get to adapt it to your lifestyle.
Click below, and let’s get started! ????

I love mail!
Of course, I’m a little ahead of you and remember the days when we ran to the mailbox.
Would love to bring those back!
There is nothing sweeter than opening the box to find a personal note!
I joined your email list today; came over on Motivational Monday.
Hope you have a blessed day~
Melanie
So glad to have you on board for the challenge, Melanie! I agree, “There is nothing sweeter than opening the box to find a personal note!” Oh my goodness, I can’t tell you how many times my day has been made because of a simple card. 🙂 Thanks so much for your kind comment–hope you have a wonderful and blessed day too! 🙂
I too just signed up! I absolutely love snail mail. I got the first email, and it will be super easy because I always write to children anyway (I am one!). I’m excited to get the other prompts!
I’m so glad you signed up, Maggie. 🙂 And that’s awesome that you already write snail mail; it’s almost a lost art these days. Keep it up! I’m sure you’re going to have fun this month. 🙂 🙂
When I was a little girl we wrote letters to my grandparents who lived in other states. My grandmother saved a lot of our letters. When she passed away we found them. Most of them she had written on the envelope the date she had replied. She had neatly folded them all and placed them back in the envelopes, including any pictures we had sent. They obviously meant a lot to her.
It’s been a joy to read those letters and remember the times we were trying to share with her in our letters. It’s kind of motivating to imagine years from now someone enjoying the words you write during your 30 day challenge. Enjoy!
Wow, thank you so much for your comment, Lauree. Reading it made me imagine your grandma and how she loved you–what an amazing gift to find those letters years later. Thank you so very much for sharing!
Sounds like a fun idea! Getting mail is always exciting, no matter how old you are! #ThoughtfulSpot
I agree, Emma! 🙂
I love happy mail! I am stamper that loves to make and send cards. But I want to do more than birthday cards. I just started sending random cards. Hopefully this will help me continue to do it:)
Oh, I’m so glad you’re on board with this challenge, Cheryl! 🙂 I used to do stamping and it was so much fun–I’m sure your cards are gorgeous! 🙂
I remember way back when I’d spend a small fortune on cards, writing paper and stamps. I lived over seas so receiving mail was vital to me. Love this idea. Visiting from Kim’s
Thanks so much for your comment, Kelly. I didn’t live overseas (for an extended period) but did live out of state for years and completely remember how precious mail was! My sisters and I would write what we called “novels” to each other–really, really long letters. I miss that! Thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂
What a great challenge. Sharing this and following you on Pinterest now.
Thank you so much! Have a great day! 🙂
Oh my gosh, the timing is so perfect on this! I’ve been thinking SO MUCH about letter-writing lately and I actually just made a commitment to start writing letters at least once a month, which I’ll be blogging about soon – definitely signing up for this challenge!
That’s so awesome! I’m so glad you signed up for the challenge and can’t wait to read about your commitment to writing more letters. 🙂
Love this idea! Tweeted. Thanks for linking up to Home Matters Party. #HomeMattersParty http://cu-rio.net/home-matters-linky-party-58/
Thanks for sharing, Denise! 🙂
I am always looking for some extra inspiration to connect with my friends through writing. Thank you for making and sharing this. I started years ago with my own family trying to instill the importance of actual hand written correspondence. As a way of having family time and connecting with and learning more about our extended family and friends we writes letters every Sunday. We have the names of all our friends and family in a jar and each of us pulls one out and writes to that person. I have a fun collection of stationary, stickers, stamps and cartoons. We always tape a cartoon to the backs of our envelopes with packing tape. I started it years ago on packages I sent and everyone loved the extra laugh. Over time it became a tradition and my family enjoys going through all the collected cartoons to find just the right one for the recipient. My kids have been surprised and happy about the responses they have received over the years. Hand written letters are so rare anymore but the personal attention is much needed.
Wow, what a wonderful idea, Tori! Reading your comment inspired me so much I want to start a letter-writing jar too. I love how you’ve made this into a family activity–what a gift to your kids! There’s just nothing like a hand-written letter, I agree. Thank you so very much for sharing!
What a great idea – I love receiving nice mail – Thanks for linking up to Pin Worthy Wednesday, I have pinned your post to the Pin Worthy Wednesday Pinterest Board.
Thank you so much for sharing! 🙂 I love mail too! 🙂
This sounds great! I’m a snail mail fanatic but haven’t been writing many letters lately. Looking forward to participating.
Yay! I’m glad you’re on board. 🙂 I just finished some letters today and it was so nice to send them off. Funny, it’s the small things, right? Hope you have a great day!
Can’t wait to be part of this. I have always loved writting letters and now with the internet it has opened doors for international penpals. There is just something magical in receiving a letter from a penpal. And then sending a letter back. Chosing the nicest paper and then just writting.
Can’t wait for my first challenge.
Greetings out of a chilly South Africa
Chantelle
