Part of a lyric I wrote in high school. Still true Part of a lyric I wrote in high school. Still true for today...

I’ve been sneaking in bits of creative time here and there, and it has been so lifegiving to my heart. For Valentine’s Day, my husband gifted me a large paint-by-number; it’s an abstract peacock painting in honor of the two places we’ve lived that have had peacocks roaming around the neighborhood.

I had no idea this project was going to be this detailed, but because of the detail, I have been forced to do tiny portions at a time. This slowing down and seeing the image emerge slowly on its own has been magical.

What creative projects have been feeding your soul lately?
Take two for Pay What You Can in my shop. On Sund Take two for Pay What You Can in my shop.

On Sunday, I posted a message here to let you know that finally I had a Pay What You Can feature in my shop. This is something I’ve wanted to do for years (literally) but have never figured out how to do integrate it. Flash forward, I found an app, installed it, and all looked so pretty...

Until my shop imploded.

I’m so grateful for a friend who reached out wondering where her downloads were (they usually automatically show up on your receipt after you pay) because when I went over to my shop I saw all the wreckage that app had created. Gulp.

Also grateful for my husband who is super techie and jumped right in to save the day. We talked to the developer who said that this app isn’t for shops with digital products (argh—wish it had said that on his listing! :-/) And then, my husband figured out a workaround.

Said workaround is manual so it has taken a bit to get it up and running, but it’s working now.

Sooooo...I now have tier pricing for many of my products where you can choose a price that works best for you.

I hope this helps you who need a little creative pick-me-up to be able to afford my products this year...and for those of you who can afford to pay a little more, I really appreciate your support.

You guys are the best! 😍😀

I love open-ended creative play. This year, for Ch I love open-ended creative play. This year, for Christmas, instead of pulling out our plastic nativity set with the fat little people and animals, I pulled out the Lincoln Logs, a tray that has a lip (it’s really a tray you use to eat in bed!) and an assortment of stones, sand, and Douglas Fir branchlettes we had around the house.

Okay, we didn’t have the bits of Douglas Fir in our house, but since they scatter all around our neighborhood, we didn’t have to walk very far to find them...

(New blog post - link in bio! I hope it encourages you this season. :))
